As of this past spring, the AP Stylebook officially changed their spelling from “Web site” to “website.” I cannot tell you how happy this makes me! Now if some of the major players in the writing world will catch on and make the switch!
Writing Tip 7
Take up a different creative hobby. It doesn’t matter what kind of writing you do, it all requires at least some basic level of creativity. Consider taking up another creativity-focused hobby, whether it’d be photography, ceramics or even whittling. Okay so that last one was a bit of a joke but hey, to each his own! Doing this accomplishes two things: it gets your mind off of any writing-related “hang-ups” you may be experiencing at the moment and it gets the “creative juices” flowing in a different direction, something that can lead to better ideas and improved work flow. Like those Mentos commercials used to say- “It’s the fresh maker!”
